Ralph Redd, MD

Dr. Ralph Redd is a board-certified Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Alabama Vascular Specialists, PC. Dr. Redd has been practicing vascular surgery in Montgomery and serving patients in our region for the last 20 years. Dr. Redd is on staff at hospitals within the Baptist health system and Jackson Hospital in Montgomery Alabama. He is also on staff at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. And he has served as chief of surgery at Baptist Medical Center South. Dr. Redd has also served on the medical executive committee, operating room advisory board, and quality committee at Baptist Medical Center South. Alabama has one of the highest amputation rates in our country. Dr. Redd has a special interest in the revascularization of lower extremities in patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) in order to improve patient quality of life and decrease amputation rates in our region. Dr. Redd also has a special interest in decreasing disparities of vascular care for patients in rural and underserved urban areas of our region.

Dr. Redd earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in General Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at St. Louis University.
